Learn about the scrap-saving technique of Boro stitching while creating a coaster for your summertime beverages! Boro, is a Japanese word meaning tattered or ragged, and refers to a method of repurposing even the tiniest bit of fabric through patchwork and hand stitching.
Today, Boro-inspired stitching finds resonance in the wake of fast-fashion and the ecological impacts of the textile industry. Learn all about how to save your tattered clothing and fabric pieces from the landfill while creating something beautiful and useful in the process!
