February Garage Sale Details

SALE DAYS

  • Friday, February 2, 4 – 7 pm
  • Saturday, February 3, 10 – 4 pm
  • Sunday, February 4, 10 – 1 pm (FREE entry day)

IMPORTANT INFO

  • 2 hours of shopping time per ticket
  • Cashless shopping experience — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover accepted
  • Show your emailed ticket on your mobile device (or bring a printed copy) for scanning at entry
  • Tickets are non-refundable
  • Bring your own shopping bag, but do not bring a cart
  • Open to shoppers of all ages, and all shoppers need a ticket. Children 16 or under need to be accompanied by an adult. Please note: due to limited space, we are unable to accommodate strollers at this event.

    • $25 entry tickets (Preview Sale Fundraiser – get first dibs on merchandise!)
  • Saturday, February 3, 10 am – 4 pm
    • $2 – $5 entry tickets
  • Sunday, February 4, 10 am – 1 pm
    • FREE entry & discount day (50% off your purchase!)
  • When you arrive, show your emailed ticket on your mobile device (or bring a printed copy) at entry, and we will scan the QR code
  • Tickets are non-refundable

DONATION DAY

Textile Center is located at 3000 University Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414.

Some onsite and offsite parking options are available — find more info below.
Carpooling/Public Transportation encouraged!

DRIVING? Here are some parking options:

Textile Center lots

  • 3000 University Ave SE, Minneapolis MN (directly behind our building)
  • 3018 University Ave SE (two doors east of Textile Center)

Art+Architecture East Lot

  • 3320 University Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414 (parking lot east of the building — at the corner of University Ave and Bedford)

U of M Prospect Park Ramp

  • Located at 390 29th Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455 (right near the light rail station, and only a two-block walk to Textile Center)
  • Rates (when Event parking is not in effect) are $3/hr during times of high demand (9 am – 3 pm, Monday – Friday); $1/hr at all other times

Street parking in the neighborhood

  • Look out for parking signs, including permit-only parking areas

Textile Center is located just steps from the Prospect Park Green Line Station (29th Ave SE).  Coupon will be provided upon entering the sale.

LOADING ZONE

Did your shopping success lead to too much to carry? Leave your items with a volunteer, and pull up your vehicle to our loading zone!

The loading zone is just off University Ave SE on Arthur Ave (west of our building), and will be marked with signs.

How to Donate

Thanks for thinking about Textile Center for your donations of textiles and fiber art supplies!

  • Our Garage Sales have specified donation days, and we do NOT have storage capacity to accept donations outside of these days. We hope that donors will honor the donation times for each event.
  • Donation days are announced via our email newsletters. Sign up to receive our newsletters here. For questions regarding donations, please contact info@textilecentermn.org.
  • Reminder: Textile Center members get first dibs on tickets, donation time slots, and volunteer shifts. Join or renew your membership here!

Donating items on our donation days? Great!  Here are some DONATION TIPS:

Please box your donated goods and label with the appropriate category below. DO NOT pre-price your items — our volunteers will do that!
  • Prepare your donations in (non-returnable) BOXES or BINS only – no bags will be accepted.
  • DO pre-sort donations by category within each box (fabric in one, books in another, etc).
  • DON’T put prices on your donations – our volunteers will do that!
  • If you know the fiber content of your yarn, please make note, as it will help us more quickly sort goods.
  • Place boxes/bins and items to be donated in your trunk or back seat for easy access by our unloaders.
  •  Due to space constraints, NO large tools/equipment. (Spinning wheels OK.)

Reminders:

  • NO scraps
  • NO finished goods
  • NO dirty, moldy or smoke damaged items
  • NO broken/non-working machines or tools
  • NO magazines, please!
